Is the universe trying to tell you something?

Amy Schumer thinks it might be. And Bill Nye brings the science to back it up:

OK, so that was obviously a bit of satire. How many times have you or someone you know said “it must be a sign!”?

I’m going to tell you a secret: When those things happen, it is a sign.

But it isn’t the universe or some other cosmic force in action.

It’s your brain.

It’s called confirmation bias. We are more likely to notice and remember information that confirms something that we already suspect… even when the connection is tenuous, or entirely fictional.

Whatever you are looking for, you will find.

What questions are you asking? What are the beliefs for which *you* are seeking confirmation? How can you change those questions so you start finding empowering answers? How can you edit those beliefs so you start seeing new opportunities?
